MTN NFEVII OSP Implementation – Abuja Metro

Overview:
This project involved the installation of optical fiber cables across various rings in the Abuja Metro area, including IDU-Dei Dei Ring, Gwarinpa Ring, Wuye Ring, Asokoro Ring, Maitama Ring, and Gishiri Ring. The scope also included the establishment of metro backbone infrastructure to support growing data and communication needs in the capital.

Objectives:
The key objective was to expand MTN's network coverage and capacity within Abuja, enabling the company to provide faster and more reliable services to its customers. Accessible to more communities.

Challenges:
The primary challenge was coordinating the installation in a densely populated urban area, where traffic management and minimal disruption to daily activities were critical. Additionally, coordinating the trenching work with minimal impact on existing infrastructure presented some logistical hurdles.

Outcome:
The project was completed on schedule, ensuring that MTN’s services in Abuja were improved in terms of coverage and speed. This enabled the provider to meet increasing demand for high-speed data and ensure a stable network for consumers.
